ESTARS TO RUN PEARSON ACCREDITED INTERNATIONAL BTEC IN ESPORTS
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 3rd March 2023
EStars are delighted to confirm that they have been accredited by Pearson Education to deliver the International BTEC in Esports. EStars have been approved to deliver the full range of qualifications from the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Certificate through to the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Diploma in Esports.
Pearson is the world’s leading learning company, with a stellar record built over 40 years of learner success. Pearson BTEC International Level 3 qualifications are recognised internationally by governments, industry and higher education. Pearson Level 3 BTECs are accepted by international universities and higher-education institutions for entry to degree programmes in over 70 countries worldwide.
The BTEC International Level 3 in Esports equips learners with the skills to progress to the workplace with an in depth study of the ever growing esports industry. With a compact index of units Students can study core modules including Esports Skills; Esports Strategies and Analysis; Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in the Esports Industry; Shoutcasting; Esports Law; Psychology for Esports Performance, Health and Wellbeing; and many more.
With so many jobs now available in this multi billion dollar industry; government and leadership directives as to esports being a key component in education it is an exciting time for the EStars team. What sets EStars apart from the rest is that the courses are delivered by industry Esports experts (“EStars Teachers”), who give a real life experience to students as the course is delivered.
Speaking about delivering the qualification, Mags Byrne, Founder of EStars, said: “I am delighted that we are working with the world’s education leaders, Pearson Education, to deliver the International BTEC in Esports. We have been working with school groups in the MENA region for some time and their most common question is “how can we bring esports into the curriculum?”. The International BTEC is exactly how this can happen. Not only will students receive a formal qualification, but they will receive a qualification doing something that they enjoy and indeed that they benefit from. The students can use the qualification for university applications or to use directly within the work place. We have an amazing team of EStars Teachers and we are also delighted to be a part of AD Gaming.
